Most TED Talk’s are inspiring, but I listened to this one two days ago and it’s still on my mind. It’s a pretty a basic message building on that “find your passion” concept we heard so much when we were kids. Since “growing up”, going to university and joining the workforce (awful phrase!) though, we don’t seem to talk about passion as much anymore. Nor do we generally discuss having a great, phenomenal, extraordinary career.
We talk about wanting good things in life. Nothing too unattainable or unreachable. Nothing scary. Good jobs, good experiences, good relationships. Not great. Good. Maybe even just decent.
My Dad always says “if you aim at nothing, you’ll surely hit it.” He’s right.
