I saw this a-frame sign in front of Strada 241 walking on Spadina Avenue today. It’s a good example of simple, but effective signage that will stop a passing pedestrian in their tracks longs enough to pay attention to your on-street brand. The daily interpretation of your branding strategy doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes you just need a line or a slogan that will catch people’s attention. Then they associate that witty, smart, funny, coy etc. concept with your business or organization and hopefully their interest is piqued. For a retailer or restaurant, the goal of B2C (business-to-consumer) marketing is simple – get them into your establishment. A straightforward piece of on-street signage that catches the eye is not a bad way to do this.
